DRM and *.wma support

Post by DL777 » Thu Dec 01, 2005 6:46 pm

With the onslaught of the digital revolution and those who choose to collect in a non-lossy, artistry sustainable format such as *.wma, as opposed to MP3, I am wondering if Ableton will ad the feature of DRM supported formats???

In my honest opinion, this would be a wise move. It would #1 save alot of time of dubbing/encoding, and #2 support the artists/musicians themselves. Maybe they could even build a DRM encoder?

Thoughts?

btw...DRM=Digital Rights Management (give it a google)

Hello? I can't believe you peoples aren't on this thread?

Go ahead and do .AAC too. These are important formats.

Once people realize that AAC and mp3 are lossy, and that no one's getting paid, bc everyone's still sharing freely, they will finally realize *.WMA and DRM is the solution.

Thoughts?

I believe *.WMA is a Microsoft owned format, and it will cost ca$h to support, which in the end boils down to a higher entrance price for Ableton!
