Grouping effects/instruments using VSTs, not just abe's

It would be really great to be able to group vst effect/instruments along with abe's own effect/instruments, or without, for that matter. I know that you can save the channel to a song file and just grab the channel from the browser, with all the trimmings, but it would still be nice to do that without having to save it in an .als file. Just a thought...
