The ability to assign a controller to more than one object.
The ability to assign a controller to more than one object.
The ability to assign a controller to more than one object. FL Studio has had this for years and it is VERY handy.
Also, a formula controller function [like in FL Studio] that allows you to modify controller functions with mathematical formulas. Very handy for modifying crossfade curves, fader ranges, etc.
PLEASE!!!

I was actually looking for an older thread with more replies in it, but this'll work.
Fuck bome, i want live to do it on it's own.
A cool way to implement this is the way nord modulars do it.
They have "morph groups" They are knobs that can be linked to as many conrols within the patch as you want, and they can be scaled. What i mean by scaled is that turning one of those knobs all the way from left to right can turn up one parameter while turning down another or can turn on parameter up a lot, while turning up another just a little.

Too right, lm.
Two or three morph groups, ideally visible in the channel strips, would give Live a real boost for those performing live with Live.
Also. Please open up and extend the midi mapping stucture used for control surfaces like mackie control, so that when you assign a fader to channel 1 volume it always stays mapped to channel 1 even if you move the strips around. This would allow users to make a default song set up with a control surface that always lets you solo, mute, launch and stop clips intuitively.
I have set these features up for myself using Max/MSP to bridge between my controller and live's mackie control input, but its a bit cumbersome and the mackie control feature set doesnt have a very comprhensive feature set for launching clips!

Keeping in mind the fear of bloat-wear and the size of of ableton, I am sure that most of us ubernOOb's -advanced that spend half our life talking about midicontrollers would totally love it if the midirouting design was as pioneering as the rest of this software.

Yes i would love such a morph group feature with formula editing, i'd be using it right now.
In combination with native macro clips this would dramatically increase live's usefulness for me.
by macro clips i mean clips that can contain parameter automation data for any automatable device in the set (i think macro clips have been requested before elsewhere).

picture this: a new midi effect, sort of like the reason spider CV box,
so that you could assign the single "master-knob" to your controller of choice,
and assign the four (or more) other "sub-knobs" to other devices of your choice, with the ability to scale the relative values of each control via the range of the "sub-knob"

about my previous post... reguarding max/msp.. if ya all want this function i can pretty quickly make an app for it. make my life easy though. what functions would you all like to see, and how many knobs/total destinations per knob would ya all like?
seriously.. i can put it together easy if you all agree on something
