Post by masuimimoon » Mon Mar 27, 2006 11:43 pm

i don't know why ableton has its eq controls (Rotary knobs) where zero in at 5 o'clock?? why can't they just be at 12 o'clock like it would be on a normal mixer?!?!

It goes from -n to +6. I don't think it'd make any sense to put 0 at twelve o'clock, would be a waste of resolution...
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

Hello,

"It goes from -n to +6. I don't think it'd make any sense to put 0 at twelve o'clock, would be a waste of resolution..."

noisetonepause is right. It´s funnny, even hardware mixer manufacturers mentioned this to us and they´ll start to copy this design. The aim of a DJ eq is more to eliminate frequencies as the opposite. Therefore the EQ3 has the 0 at 5 o´clock.
