shortcut to 'count-in' please!

Post by roby » Thu May 25, 2006 7:12 pm

hi, i find it a bit annoying to have to open the preference window to turn 'count-in' on or off. a shortkey would be very nice, but i would settle for it being available on a menu somewhere...

I'd like a shortkey to toggle the count-in on/off. And/Or a shortcut key to hold while pressing record so that it would temporarily enable/bypass count-in.

I didn't even know there was a count in option, found it though, good to know.

Yes, keyboard shortcut please!

There's room in the transport bar.

I'd just go for a count in button right next to the metronome button,

midi-assignable, of course ;)

Please, we need a shortcut!!!

How about just holding ALT when hitting record, this would enable count-in for that particular take?

yes!

it is very inconvenient to have to go to preferences for this when it is required for a particular take or track.

I agree that we need a shortcut for count-in as well as other features such as:

1. Auto Quantize settings
2. Clip Loop Length
3. Go to Transport time where you could hit like f5 and then type where you want to go on the timeline.

Or if you move Preferences-panel to the left side bar of Live, then this will also become more easily accessable.

Oh yeah, that is a brilliant idea.
but i thnk it still makes sense to have a count-in button right next to the metronome button or somewhere in the GUI that's easily accessible.
