I would really like to be able to set up some sort of "rewire clips", specifically in the session view. The idea is that a rewire clip would include the same type of "meta" information as a normal clip ('cept the actual sample, of course). So it would have start/stop bar positions (from the rewire slave app timeline), loop/single shot etc etc. With the way rewire is implemented now this would have to be accompanied with an option to turn off the rewire slave's following the timeline Live when playing.
Why not just bounce the rewire instrument? Well, this way you could have let's say Reason hooked up, and still mess with Sub/Mael parameters in a Live situation - just set up the Reason track with the wanted MIDI/Matrix settings in different time positions, and switch between them in Live, then tweak filter/LFO/ADSR/whatever.
