Multi-selection Clip save

Post by Tarekith » Fri Aug 18, 2006 5:19 pm

I wish the Save button in the Clip Pane was one of the items thatw as available for multiple selected clips. Would be a HUGE time saver.

IE, I could warp a bunch of tracks and then save the ASD files all at once.

yes . i warp hundreds of tracks routinely and this is a huge timewaster ...

when warping large batches of tracks there are many scenarios where it is necessary to click on every single clip to highlight -- move mouse to lower left hand corner and click -- then back again

major time / annoyance saver if we can get this in

Definitely...sometimes you forget to click one out of 50 tracks you warp and then you're just wondering why it ain't warped next time you load it!

Been doing a lot of warping lately (and got lots more to do) and was just about to add a request for exactly this. But decided I should do a search for similar topics first...

So a big +1 from me...

Shouldn't be too difficult to add, should it? It's a shame it didn't make it into Live 7. So that's another reason I haven't upgraded yet...

yep, same here.

I can see a case for being cautious here, but a simple prompt before executing a multi-clip save would be fine

Seems there's not even a keyboard shortcut for this. And you can't map it to a MIDI or key command either, so you have to keep moving the mouse to the Save button, to the next clip, to the Save button, to the next clip...

instead of mousing you can use the option/alt key and arrow up to the clip slot area, and arrow to the next clip.

this leaves your mouse/cursor in the same position, and just hit it to save the clip...

still a lot more laborious than multiple saves though

Thanks. That's a handy tip. I'll have to try that next time. 8)
