there is already access to each chain on the other side of the routing - check out what's available at the inputs of the destination tracks

but yeah might be nice to have the output side options as well

I didn't look at the inputs, thanks!
The feature is a bit hidden, a small letter next to te audio-source like '3-iRack (m)' to indicate multiple outputs would be very welcome.

The only drawback left is not having a summing bus, so i'll need to open several audiotracks to forward the indipendent outputs to the 'subgroups' 5-Bass, 6-Pad, etc. It is a good workaround, although i would like to hide the forwarding tracks, i will have to minimalize their width instead.

Thank you!

Different request.
We're looking for something to route audio around.

Feedback loops and clip automation...
Now tell if that doesn't sound like fun ;)

where is the "HELL YEAH" button??
this functionality is really needed. to me, the most flexible way would be to create a i/o module.
I can easily think to 3 modules:
-1 with midi out/audio out and one audio in: insert hardware in your racks
-1 with sends
-1 with audio in, to route eg the 8 outs of an impulse to 8 chains.

That's even better!

In a Rack i'd like to assign the output of a Chain to the input of a track, so this track will be summing the signals assigned form multiple Chains.

Track 1-Rack
  • Chain 1 audio to track 5-Bass
Chain 2 audio to track 8-Percussion
Track 2-Rack
  • Chain 1 audio to track 5-Bass
Chain 2 audio to track 6-Pads
Chain 3 audio to track 7-Accent
Track 3-Rack
  • Chain 1 audio to track 7-Accent
Chain 2 audio to track 8-Percussion
Track 4-something else

Track 5-Bass (returning bus)

Track 6-Pads (returning bus)

Track 7-Accent (returning bus)

Track 8-Percussion (returning bus)

To create awesome instuments.

I like this way. A bit like senderella and that send module request.

(Even better would be a huge modular routing view a la XT/plouge/audio mulch/buzz/Traktion/etc style :P but I'm not sure how they would keep the simplicity of having the relevant modules viewable for the selected track)

It gets more technical this way, for me that's no problem at all, I like it, but it's not within the Ableton philosophy. Maybe a global 'EXPERT' button will be a good idea for these kind of special routings. When introducing an expert modus it would be a good time get automation on the routing 8) very cool!

An Expert mode would kick ass.

in fact having i/o in rack, and a send module won't break Live's way of displaying modules, so abes could keep the workspace as it is, and connections would be "hidden" in drop down i/o menu (as they currently are in tracks)
