Resize clips

Post by DJChrisPaul » Sat Nov 11, 2006 10:51 pm

it would be great if we can resize the clip vertically as well as horizontally...i did a search but didn't find anything...we can't do this can we?

Im pretty sure he means the ability to make the clips larger vertically, as well as horizontally. ;)

I totally agree with this -- it would give you a larger area to work with and makes the clips more like a "deck" on your screen, making things a lot easier to see without squinting

Big +1

Big #2. Anything that makes it so we don't have to lean over and squint at the screen to see wat we're doing will only improve the latop performers image.

Robert was asking people awhile back how the fonts should be handled and such if they did this, so I'm guessing Ableton is well aware of the need and working on it.

Josh Von got it bang on! yes..I just picked up the Black macbook, after using my powerbook 15.. and everything is SMALLER! resizing like you can in the arrange is what we need..QUICK!

ps i did my first FULL on Live set on Sat using Live for 4 hours straight without backup( serato) and my BCF2000 with the macbook...amazing! totally spontanious was mixing and mashing everything from hip hop 80s rock to house and breaks! Live is truly amazing and the macbook didnt break a sweat. :D

I totally agree with this - the ability to vertically resize things is a must.

As for the issue with your laptop font size, it might sound silly but just try running the screen at a lower resolution. The reason your fonts are smaller is the fact that most laptops run at stupidly high screen resolutions compared to desktop screens. I for one love tiny fonts ;-) But I am a little bizarre....

Adding this to the current mouse navigation could be a little tricky though.... The current X-Y Zoom-Scroll thing works so well.... Which doesn't leave any axis for Vertical Zoom.... Oh well....
