Hi Poster,
I know you also came up with a lot of stuff how to make Live "easier", so we are in the same boat!
I mean no, not disappear, but the old behaviour could jump back when the track is narrowed (30% of screenspace wasted)
Otherwise the clip and envelope info could be located in a small horizontal row
on top or bottom of the clip view without loosing a lot of precious horizontal space when narrowed.
Let´s see what i can do as screenshot.
Also could multiple clipenvelopes easily be shown when the editor is pulled up,
just make it possible to show a few narrow lanes with the envelopes in front (translucent) of the notes editor,
the same could work in arrangement when a track is maxed out in height.
Therefore we would need a second unfold button to easily max a track to the whole screenheight
instead of the actual drag and resize option.
I try to do a screenshot too.
I also have a few improvements for the racks in map mode,
I´ll post them in the next few days.
Greetings

Here are some more,
one with the clip info boxes on top of the editor,
could be the same when the editor is low:
and this one with multiclipenvelopes,
with shadownotes as background for reference:
sorry for the awfull colors but Gimp crashed somewhere near I was finished,
so a quick redo only here!

About 100 views and only one replies?
Common people,
these aren´t that difficult to implement (the multi clip envelopes perhaps is more tricky)
and could have been in since a few versions to save screenspace.
It´s really just a visual change, nothing more.
