loop pedal style loop recording

Post by greenscreens » Mon May 21, 2007 3:18 am

this has hopefully been requested. it would be amazing to have a feature where you can overdub on audio the way a guitar looping pedal works

Yeah, that would be amazing. I use guitar rig 2 for this at the moment but it's far from reliable.

i agree - some people have a workaround it seems, but you shouldn't have to jump through hoops. I'm using Mobius now as a VST and it's way more flexible for guitar looping. I'm very surprised that a program like Ableton isn't more conducive to this type of thing. Maybe next version will have a plugin with some nice audio routing options??????

i use mobius, but live should just steal angstrolooper or somesuch. you can see the demand by the number of posts recently from guitar players, wasn't the case so much a few years back. yes, you can just record endless numbers of tracks for the equivalent of sound on sound looping, but it gets to be a hassle, not as flexible in most cases, etc.
