Warp markers - assign color

Post by aerobiotic » Sun Jul 08, 2007 2:22 am

The ability to assign several different colors to warp markers. Eg: blue first downbeat, pink breakdown, red bridge, yellow main.. Etc etc Even the ability to tag the markers with a name aswell..

Yeah, it's such a simple thing to do, but would help an awful lot.

Yes .. I think it makes the most sense to add the color and naming ability to
markers that also function as assignable key / midi mappable cue points ..

ie. Extend the Arrange View assignable marker concept to Clip View:

- assign Blue to a key (say '1')

- press '1`

- clip transport skips to Blue .. etc ..

Very powerful, see? This is totally logical because it extends what Live is
doing already in Arrange. The colors are mnemonic clues for assignable
on the fly cuepoints

.

Also add color markers for the arrangement view also.

Really just add color support for everything :)

Thats what Im sayin! A way to design your own palette would be ILLLLLLLLLL

I'm sure it would be a snap to program...and just make available a system for harmonizing colours like say this one:

would be really excellent for dj'ing.
+1 for making the colors midi assignable
in the same way loop points are assignable (only applies to the clip in focus, but mapped to all)

Especially seeing as how many things there are that you can colour in on ableton now.

I'd say far more useful than colouring the individual macro knob's on a rack...

Surely one of the easiest things that could be done to help out the poor forgotten ableton dj's...
