!!!SCROLL WHEEL OPTIONS!!!
!!!SCROLL WHEEL OPTIONS!!!
I would like to hover my mouse over a virtual pot/parameter and use the scroll wheel to make changes... Please
Perhaps the ability to turn it on/off in prefs

Definitely an option to turn it off. I've used Final Cut Pro and this feature makes me crazy. It's impossible to scroll in a view and NOT change some parameter by accident.

I'd love to see it too... I use the URS plugs a lot and love the way they work with the scroll wheel. Very smooth a precise control. Maybe this could just be invoked by a modifier key to help prevent accidental parameter changes.
I'd also love to have scroll wheel zoom similar to how Logic operates. Would make for a much smoother work flow for me.

Yes please. This is one of few features I still miss from Cubase.
Live + M4L, MacBookPro & Ultralite mk3. Plugins from Softube, Soundtoys, Eventide, 2CAudio, Cytomic, AudioDamage, OhmForce, FabFilter, SonicCharge, Waves, MadronaLabs, NI and ExpertSleepers. Oh, and a bunch of hardware... =D

hmm sounds not so bad.
And in Midi-Editor Mousewheel could switch between drawing and editing mode. Or even better change the scale of the grid?!

oh yes
All the U-he plug-ins have scroll support, although it takes a little getting used to having the ability to move one finger instead of your whole hand is awesome. +1 for prolonging arthritis

I think there should be an option to enable/disable parameter changes with the scroll wheel.
This can be helpful for people with wrist problems and disabilities.
Its much more of a natural way to work with parameters. I love it on most of my vst plugins: massive, volcano, etc...

Ctrl+scroll to avoid accidental parameter adjustments while scrolling. Speaking of scrolling - my Microsoft Wireless Mouse 500 won't scroll properly in the browser; it works fine in all other applications.
Re: !!!SCROLL WHEEL OPTIONS!!!
I have a Microsoft mouse with with wire and it doesn't scroll browser lists either. At all. And like in your case also works fine in other apps.Idonotlikebroccoli wrote:Speaking of scrolling - my Microsoft Wireless Mouse 500 won't scroll properly in the browser; it works fine in all other applications.
This is my biggest workflow problem in Live by far.
Edit 4.7.: after installing Live 9.1.3 and changing my mouse settings from Control Panel (how many lines are scrolled) now scrolling Browser lists works a little bit.
Not very smoothly like in other programs, but the functionality is not totally disabled.
So I'm very glad with this unexpected improvement.
