...but can we have .CAF file compatibilty?
In their infinite wisdom, Apple have decided to make their new jam packs in this format and I now can't use them in Live....
Cheers...

Isn't CAF just a container, with the actual sound data stored in Apple Lossless?
If so, I wouldn't of thought it would take much to implement support. With the price drop I'd imagine a lot of people will be getting Logic now so there will be plenty of others that would want this feature.

hi
only workaround for me was to convert the files in logic. that means add the .caf-files in the "bin" (formerly known as Audio-Window) , then select them all, choose "copy and convert "from the file menue, and there you are! BUT on my my machine it took ages to convert one jam-pack, because logic crashed if i tried to load more than 100 files at once. I dont´know if it was a matter of my external hard-drive, where i stored the jam-packs, or a logic-issue. anyway, caf-files suck! ;-)
cheers

particularly if more DAWs support import of the files. It would be best of all if one could export unwarped WAV files with Live's warp marker data, if I understand the capabilities of CAF correctly.
