direct x PLUGIN support

I'd like to run the L2 ultrmaximizer on the main outs.

I used to do this with cubase, but i dont like cubase anymore for live
stuff.

does anyone know of anything taht works as nice as the l2 THATS VST?

I think you are missing something, waves already are vst!
I´m running the L2 on my master for DJing and it works great!

I can't remember where, but someone said that DX is bad from a developers point of view. I dont think this has much to to with stability, but more to do with compatibility.

If Ableton added DX support, then that would tie Abletons code into Windows since DX is a windows only standard. They could fork their source code into a version for the mac and a version for the PC, but then they they essentially have 2 programs to develop and also they run the risk of the 2 versions not being released at the same time (i.e. because they had to spend 3 more weeks in the lab to make a new feature work with DX) and that's just baaaad... companies like Steinberg have only just managed to unify their multi platform codebase.
