I'm definitely +1ing this as well.

In my opinion, this is one of the most important things to add into Live 7 as a point update, not something to push until the next big upgrade.

That's a bit dangerous, as someone at Ableton marketing might go "O RLY?", leading to holding the "feature" back until version 8. "It hasn't got the 128 parameter limit any more? Gotta upgrade!"

I try not to get too carried away with such cynicism, though. There has been such talk around many features recently, but I have been generally pleased with the way the Live development path has been handled.

That being said: removing the 128 parameter limit is really something that shouldn't be used to push a major upgrade. As many users have pointed out, it would be a very good start if you could choose which 128 parameters are actually being used, out of the the ones that are available in the plugin.

Yes your right, but i do love Live so much (it´s my only sequenzer and fits my needs very very well, except the friggin 128 Parameter thing). So this would actually BE a reason for me to upgrade, even if it cost me some money.

this is probably worth the upgrade for me - (also having beta tested the sidechaining i cant believe i lived so long without sidechaining.. lol.. i used to do that can of thing manually!

but the parameter thing really cannot be reproduced.. and btw - i was thinking of choosing the 128 you should control - i should have made that clearer

im please to see nearly 3000 of you have viewed this thread - surely a few more of you could have replied! :)

Thanks to all those who have added to the campaign!

Lets keep it going!

Regards
Ben

give us ALL the parameters. Even if the instrument/effect becomes 1km long! I don't mind ;-)

at least in v7, if not in 6.11.

you can do it!

Just heard a interview with "Stefan" Head of Specification at Ableton talking about the new features in Live 7 and one of the last question he´s been asked has been if there will be any further features (except the one everybody knows allready) implemented in Live 7 until the release and the answer was "NO".

So, guess thats it with Live 7 and the "maybe we´ll do that before the release" (as somebody mentioned he has been told from Ableton) Sad

We REALLY have to wait till Live 8...or Live 9...or whatever.

Sorry for my bad english but i thought i tell you. Listen to the german interview here:

BTW: He also said they ARE monitoring this forum and look what the people really want.
So: KEEP THIS THREAD UP!!!!!!!!
