I definitely would like this feature. I have the MC Control and it would be great to integrate it with Live 7... +1,000,000

more controller support (euphonix, jazz mutant, ...),

it's hard to see that live is not as considered as cubase, logic or sonar,

each time a new controller comes out, Live doesn't support it at the beginning or later,

so we could thing it's just a toy and not a professionnal tool as it can be
Dell 9200, E6700 (2 x 2.66 gHz), 4 Go RAM, i965 chipset, ATI PCie x1300 256 mo, MOTU 828 mkII
firewire, 2 UAD-1 PCI, 1 UAD-2 QUAD , 1 liquid mix, live 7, reason 4

YEs! YES! +1 for Eucon support! Oh and Dexter support! IF the Ableton Guys are planning there own controller, It would be nice to let the COMMUNITY know what's up. In any case, just let us know why your not wanting to support third party controllers? :?

I have two MC Mixes and love them. The integration with Logic is spectacular and I am hoping that Live will develop Eucon support.

yeah Ableton, creating a compatibility-monopoly like Steve Jobs?

I'm sure I would like having an APC40.
I would also like to have a choice ;)

so +2.5 for protocol supports!
I'm going home

So, I'm in a bit of a pickle... I've got the Euphonix MC Control, and two of the Faderfox controllers. I was using Cubase for production, and Ableton for my live sets, but have just moved everything across to Ableton reducing the power of my Euphonix device.

Like all in this thread I'm looking for better EuCon support from Ableton, but from what I can see, it doesn't seem to be in the pipeline, and if it is, its far down the line, given their new release of their controller.

My "day job" I'm into software development working with electronic device integration (I.e. low level protocols), and am in a position to abuse this skill to support my "night job" in the studio... ;-)

So, did some investigation, and seems the Ableton API is right up my ally, with Ableton Remote Scripts using my favorite language, python. Starting point I found this project:

http://code.google.com/p/liveapi/

And the EuCon Protocol Technical Details (Although fill specification would be great):

http://www.euphonix.com/pro/post/eucon.php (See the end of the webpage).

So in short, I'm keen to embark / assist a project that can solve our current position, guessing that the Live API/OSC is the ideal place to start... But will EuCon come to the party with additional information regarding the protocol?

I think my only drive is to keep it open source, so we all benefit and can get more developers to assist into trying to find a great standard with controller protocols...
