Euphonix Eucon protocol support

Post by siddhu » Sat Jan 26, 2008 3:30 am

We need this to be able to work with the Euphonix line of professional control surfaces.

From their new Artist line, right up to their 50K plus consoles.

Eventhough there are workarounds with using HUI/Mackie control, to get the full outrageous control capabilities we need the Eucon protocol.

Nuendo, Logic, Cubase, Sonar, Apogee, and Motu are all supporting Eucon, and Live should as well since it is a Pro DAW and not Fruity Loops! :D

Implementation of the Mackie Control in LIVE is great... Its possible that Euphonix will take by storm the tragic control surface market where everybody is asleep at the wheel.

better tactile interfacing with music software is one of the big big things we need to see movig forward... the Euphonix is $$$ but a huge step in the right direction IMHO

I talk to Ableton, Eucon-support is not on their schedule.

That's too bad. I can understand it not being a priority at this point but imo eucon support should at least be tacked onto the tail end of the list.

Eucon should be on Ableton Schedule

I totally agree with this . The artist Series are going to be very popular because of their price and capabilities when it comes to controlling a Daw.
Ableton is a pro Daw and just having Mackie Hui capabilities is very limiting.

They have done the Automap you can when the plug in is selected. just need to be able to see the plug ins in the artist mixer and map it to their buttons....

That would just be so great. you can listen to music close your eyes and manipulate everything.

woooooooooo yeahhhhhh
