'Select On Launch' could be clip specific!

Post by solovox » Tue Aug 12, 2008 12:12 am

Each clip should have a menu item (in the Launch screen maybe) that turns off 'Select On Launch,' but just for that clip.

That way, dummy clips and program change clips could be placed anywhere in Session View and not make the screen jump down to them...

yes yes yes yes!!!!
I've told it so many times. Now we are at least two!
This feature seems really important for flexibility. I thought it existed when I saw this function on the contextual menu clicking on the clip, but it changes the prefs.

Can I get a BUMP BUMP?

I want to be able to fire dummy clips and program change clips from the very bottom (or very top) of the screen and not be pulled away from the audio clips I'm playing.

Think of the awesomeness. Do it now.

I would find that change to be awesome. Firing off one shots would not steal focus from drum loops, and would make my life much simpler!

Indeed.

It's been my dream since the invention of Drum Rack to be able to load Warped Clips and even Midi Sequences--and I would STILL love this...but I'm sure it would be a major programming chore for them. However, the whole thing could be solved by adding this one simple feature we are asking for here...it couldn't be that hard could it, Abes?

Imagine having a whole key or midi assigned bank of sequences and loops under your fingers 'somewhere' in the session and being able to fire them off without yanking away from the song you're playing? Makes me giddy.

How 'bout it--anyone else??

The reason for me is i do live lopping, by triggering clip recordings with the global track play button.
Sometimes, before filling the whole scene with liveloops, I trigger a pre-recorded pattern from another scene, but I still want to record loops in the first scene, without having to manually re-focus on this scene.
Or just occasional one-shot clips !
Hope you understand. Anyway, many people may have different reasons for wishing this.
Please....
