Ability to freeze tracks with side-chained compressors

Post by jtxx000 » Fri Sep 19, 2008 8:03 pm

It would be great if Live could freeze tracks with strange routings the same way that it does through file -> export audio. For the arrangement view, it would use the normal output from the other tracks to provide the sidechain input, and in the session view, it could just use the currently playing clips to provide the sidechain input.

There are, of course, ways where this could produce different output for frozen vs. unfrozen tracks, but it would be better than having no freeze capability at all.
