How does 8.1 related to the current 8.05 version?

Just wanting to make sure I don't "break" any current projects, will the 8.1 beta have all the updated bug fixes of the released 8.05 betas?

they do have the same bugfixes - but I have had the "this was created by a newer version..." message trying to open things in 8.05 after working in 8.1 - I only did this because b12 came after the 8.1 version I have

also, I've had some weird stuff going on with the library

Hi,

Live 8.0.5 is the current bugfix update of Live and completely unrelated to "Max for Live" testing.
When MfL will be finally released, Live will be pushed to the 8.1 branch for all users.
Meanwhile I recommend to use 8.0.x for (critical) production work and 8.1bx for testing MfL.

I just posted a new thread pointing out that MFL beta is now attached to my 8.0x version of Live (authorised that is)and I don't know how that happened. Nor how to undo this.

So 8.1 beta opens without MFL

8.05 now opens and gives me a message the that my Live8 library needs to be updated since installing 8.1b3. Seems I can't use the same library for both, is this true? Should I not have pointed 8.1b3 to my live8 library? Is it ok to update the library again for regular 8.05 work? This is all very confusing...

I didn't understand how to use the library in both 8.0.. and 8.1. Anyway, that might not be "safe". So, With 8.1, I stick to the reduced library coming with the beta. My full library is linked only to 8.0... Works - although kind-of frustrating.
