Problem solved. Discovered that Firefox will not effectively download the beta of MFL. All is well from here so far.

Hey there Raz, Vance (Ex. Asphodel/SoundTrafficControl) here: I've had some odd happenings with Firefox on other projects, but I am able to use it to download both M4L and Live effectively. Are you now using Safari or...what?
