Just for the record, this is now possible with Clip Mapper 2.0. You can even make set of Live Clips and load it into any set now.hoffman2k wrote:No, the absolute clip position is used. Doing this with ID's is a nightmare, since it changes when you move a clip.Surreal wrote:do saved parameters follow clips is you move the track? (working on a patch and am trying to figure out a smooth way to have setings follow clips.) if they do, what are you using as an id for the clip?

Re: Clip Mapper 1.0
Wow, thanks man! This not only solves the problem I wrote about but the additional challenge I was about to take on with regards to getting quick control over 16 knobs
Big thank you Bjorn!

Hi Bjoern,
excellent work. Some feedback:
- you can assign the XY sliders themselves in learn mode. And if you did, it a) produces nasty feedback loops and b) is difficult to remove. A delete button for each assignment would be nice.
- If I map X and Y to a macro knob, the slider only takes on the 1 and 0 positions, nothing in between. Looks like a bug to me.
Where are the presets stored?
Thanks for a great device!

Oh, sorry. Snapshot morpher.
Re: Clip Mapper 1.0
Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into the XY issues.
Presets are stored in the pattrstorage object.
Cheers,

Re: Clip Mapper 1.0
Regarding the preset storage: Is that stored with the live set itself? Or where is it?
Re: Clip Mapper 1.0
Inside the device there is an object that stores the data with a Live Set or a preset.wackazong wrote:Regarding the preset storage: Is that stored with the live set itself? Or where is it?
Re: Clip Mapper 1.0
Some more observations on Snapshot Morpher:
- the position and size of the nodes is not saved when saving the set and reloading. This would be very useful
- also the parameter values are not saved but are different from the saved position when reloading the set
- the morph mode is active when I reload a set that was saved with active morph mode. I would like the morph window not to appear then automatically when opening the set, though.
Best, ALEXander

Re: Clip Mapper 1.0
Hi Alex,
It seems there are some differences between the Audio and MIDI version. I'll have to check why the Nodes aren't recalled in the MIDI version. It works fine with the Audio version.
I'll look into the other 2 problems too.

Re: Clip Mapper 1.0
Hi Bjorn,
I managed to get the macro thing working by setting modulation mode to something else than absolute. Another problem though:
When moving the macro knob fast from 127 to 0 (which is assigned to X), the presets do not get changed all the way but get stuck halfway in between. This also happens when moving the X slider directly. The position of the mouse pointer in the nodes window is correct, though.

Re: Clip Mapper 1.0
Just mailed you a version with fixes for some of the bugs you mentioned. Let me know if it works out for you.
