Reverse midi clip

Post by allert » Sun Jan 03, 2010 4:12 pm

Hi all,
I searched the forum but maybe I missed it. In the Max for Live preview vid I saw a reverse button for midi clips somewhere (and some other nice operations I can't remember right now). Anybody have any idea if they are in the MfL release ? I haven't found them.
If not, will we see them in an update ?

Hope to get positive news, love what everybody is doing with MfL !

Cheers,
Allert

It's in one of the M4L tutorials (10 Midi Note Operations Lessons, under Lessons/8-MaxForLiveCategory), the device is Midi-Note-Operations.amxd

just for the record you can already reverse midi using the Stretch Notes function as well.

Did that not involve a lot of mouse movement ? Correct me if I'm wrong. I find it very nice to just press a button.

Thanks,

it's a five-second mouse operation. Feel free to design a max patch to do it for you instead ;)

makes sense if one wants to work "mouse-less", e.g. one could extend the CS Step Sequencer (which writes into Midi clips) to reverse the sequence upon pressing a button on your control surface or monome.
