Video Processing Device for Live

Post by andrewbenson » Thu Jan 07, 2010 9:55 pm

I've ported my VPS Jitter processing patch to work inside of Max for Live. See the http://cycling74.com/2010/01/07/a-video ... -for-live/ article to check it out. If you are curious about how the original patch works, check out the http://cycling74.com/2008/12/22/the-vid ... em-part-1/Original Video Processing System Tutorials.

Enjoy,

Thanks Andrew,
this will be very usefull to check the jitter side of m4L.

BTW, I have one question for you:

I am still not very sure about the way m4l will behave for peoples who don't own jitter.
You wrote that we have to save the device to make jitter fully functional, does this mean that the only drawback, if you don't own jutter, is non real time update of the edited patch/ Device ?

So we can build and use jitter devices with full screen displays and so on, without a proper jitter license ?

Has I own jitter, I can't check this, that's why I ask.

thanks for clarify this.

My experience with the jitter functionality is that jitter is working in a normal way if the plug-in is dropped into live. Only in the case of editing (or while do a creation from the scratch) the jitter windows are inactive (disabled) from time to time.

regards, p.e.
Live 8_3_4 + 4b7_32+64 -Suite- Max4Live 5_1_9 _ core2DuoMacBook 2*2,16 Ghz + external FW HD _ OSX 10.6.8 _ 3G RAM _ M.H. MIO 2882 + 5.4d208 Driver _ Faderfox LV1 _ Akai MPK25 _ Logitec wheel mouse _______ PeacE will be the SOLution of LIVE
