Insert scene using maxforlive?

Post by yannxou » Thu Feb 18, 2010 10:17 pm

Is it possible to create a new scene using a max message?

I can't find that in the documentation... but it's so basic that it seems there must be a way..

thanks!

Yes, I've seen this thanks. I'm guessing if this is just non-documented yet... otherwise I hope ableton considers adding another function 'insert' to the 'live_app'..

Have a look at the aka.keyboard external. With this you can simulate keystrokes like "apple-i" to insert a scene.

I haven't tried the aka.keyboard external but maybe that doesn't work if another application has focus? Do you know what happens in that case?

If you focus on another application it will ?-i on the focused app...
But if you're not checking your mail while playing music it would be ok...
If you're using a VJ or an other music app at the same time it could be a problem.
