dual waveform possible?

Post by danryanfl » Fri Apr 09, 2010 2:43 pm

I don't have max or really know anything about it, but would it be possible to use it to create a dual waveform view (maybe even one that you can only look at, not necessarily do any envelope editing, scrubbing, etc...)

it's easy man.. follow the waveform~.maxpat help.. it will help you solving your doubts about that.. so, that means you can do wavetable synthesis with maxmsp.. and designing your own oscilators the way you want.. you can actually even pick two of this things and make vectorial synthesis by cross-fading them.. and you have examples such as andre sier's waveterrain maxmsp synthesis model that are an extension to that

^^ I think the dude means displaying more than 1 clip wave at a time ...
in this case I think not..
not unless you can queury the filename and path of the wav the clip is using...
other way would be record it as it plays (the waveform).. but that would be pretty lacking in elegance..and not very useful either

Yeah, I just meant be able to see both waveforms simulataneously along with a moving line showing where the clip is in playback (for DJing purposes)
