i want to build a snyth with some effects.

nothing fancy, just as a learning curve for learning max. have built loads of synths in reaktor before, so i know the way it works, just need to familiarize myself with the objects, workflow and interface of max.

could anyone offer any advice or point me to places where i can research?

go through the msp built-in tutorials...
('max help' in the patcher window...or in the cycling74 site)

study the already included synths like Laverne. take it apart, tweak it to make it your own. the drum synth pathces are also a good read.

it's all about the [poly~] object.
