Isotonik 7 - Out Now!!!! (APC40 + Max4Live)

Post by S4racen » Sun Aug 15, 2010 11:06 am

Part One video shows off the functionality of the Looping and Effects scene, plus the added extras of being able to select a waveform of any clip within the Clip Launch Rectangle without using the mouse and how to do the same on any clip that's playing in a track without having to launch it in doing so....

http://vimeo.com/20967312

Part Two will show how to configure the Mid1 scene and it's application...

Isotonik 7 is now sitting in the shared folder for all subscribers to the Isotonik M4ster template to download....

Full Manual available here....

And is now live!!

Screenshot below shows 16 tracks all with slave devices in so the full functionality of the device extends across all you see, oh and all 16 tracks are playing and still no dropouts! Compare that to 4 tracks with Isotonik 5.9.2!!

There's a raft of new functionality as well, i'll videoise it later!

So new to this update

I've also included a new couple of racks in the sends....

I'll pop a video up of the effects within later but they've been collated from one of the dropbox members Zander!

don't know. i'm just normally expecting any kind of discussion here.
and this whole m4l thing has had a non commercial flavor to me.
i know you have probably investet quite a few hours of work to justify a cash price for this.
i'm more on the standpoint the m4l knowledge and devices should be shared
i was just meaning i don't like this kind of ad thread. not related to ya device.

So then don't buy his product??? build your own, and offer it for free? I personally think 20 bucks is reasonable for something that has taken alot of hours to build, then throw in the instructions, the video, and the fact that he is dedicated to helping people who buy it... I picked it up today and I don't even have max4live.. i asked him a few questions before I bought it and he replied to me 4 times in 10 minutes... I charge clients 50/hr just to look at their websites and for any consulting / programming I do, so I can understand people wanting compensation for the time they invest... on a side note, yeah, free stuff is great, but so are quality mods...

I understand your point of view, and as you may be aware i was one of the first people to share devices on the wonderful max4live.com and have had the most downloads of any device on there, when i reached well over three hundred man hours and couldn't provide the support people wanted me to as well as holding down a relationship and a day job i moved to charge a nominal fee... I felt it reasonable as there are people out there charging for racks built within ableton....

I also provided free of charge and continue to do so a template that utilises bomes to do midi translating for the APC40 so there are different options for people.....

I don't try and charge anyone who wants to develop their own templates, even though many have offered to pay me for my time, and have continued to help in anyway i can with queries and requests, please check my posts for evidence of such.... I'm sorry you feel this way but inevitably m4l was always going to go the way of the commercial app. type store.....

By all means if you want any help or advice in building your own device then let me know, as many will attest i'm happy to help....

As for the ad thread comment, i think you'll find that many people use this forum for advertising their wares along with supporting the community, maybe i'll hold off on updating it until i've got something i'm excited about but hey that happens everytime i achieve something new that i think people might be interested in.....

Sorry for the longwinded reply but you felt you had to comment so i felt i had to reply!

Cheers

ok it's somehow understandable because it was a free patch in the beginning
and then emerged to a huge amount of work.
as for the style of thread: imagine 20 patch seller ad threads
always on top because bots are posting in there regularly..

Hi,
just another question to 'Isotonic 6.

I was about to buy, but i saw that the payment only works via paypal.
Sorry, i do have a problem with paypal. If you look a bit around the web, you will know why. I also never use eBay again•

Is there any other solution for you? Shall i get in contact via mail with you?

Thnx.
Stef
