Hi all,
Seems virtual midiports being added or removed from the system was crashing Live and Max.
Sorry about that. It should now be corrected.
Length of MTC msg 241 now correctly formatted as a 2 byte nessage.
Cheers,
Leigh

Thanks for the update.
I didn't have crashes but noticed that the virtual ports were not listed completely.
Now it works well for me. Good service!

Just noticed a remaining bug with device/port names in the menu.
For example, it looks like this

Off
IAC Driver Bus 1
IAC Driver to MaxMSP 1
IAC Driver to MaxMSP 2

Is that in only in edit mode, or both?

Both modes, also in Max standalone.
But functionality is not affected I think.

Hi Broc,
I'm struggling to reproduce your name anomally on my system
Macbookpro 2.33Ghz core2duo, Autumn 2006.
Snow Leopard 10.6.4
MaxMSP 5.15
Ableton Live 8.15
If I can get your email I'll send you a version of lh_midiin, that posts the port names to the max window.
If you could try replacing the one in your max search path wih this testing one.
When you instantiate the object it should then post information about the port names.
Take a note of whether each port is prefixed 'model' or 'name' and let me know the results.
On my system, for example, with only the iac driver active, I get;

model, IAC Driver Bus 1
name, from MaxMSP 1
name, from MaxMSP 2

I'm guessing that something different in your setup, is causing (model)IAC Driver to get carried through to the next iteration in the search loop.
Functionality shouldn't be affected by the anomally in the meantime.
Cheers,
Leigh
