textual cues/markers in clips

Post by rawore » Mon Nov 08, 2010 7:31 pm

thought I saw a thread about putting textual markers in clips, but now can't find it.

maybe I was just fantasizing?

using 'cue' and 'clip'

or

'cue' and 'text'

as search terms; anyone got a better search term, or remember the thread?

thanks for any help

I think you might be referring to cue points. But those markers do not effect clips but are a feature only usable in the arrangement view.

While M4L can check and observe such cue points it cannot actually create or delete them.

For more information you might want to check the CuePoint class in the LOM.
With kind regards,

Peter

Not quite true. There is a function set_or_delete_cue available in the Song class.

For a working example see this thread

Ah, indeed! Stupid, I totally missed that one.

Thanks for the heads up.

thanks for the link, think that was what I remembered... forgot

or maybe not, since it started in 2008.
I'll check it, though.

I mentioned your work in a discussion about OSC (open sound control) that's just started up
at http://nwav.org/talk/discussions

northwest audiovisualists at http://nwav.org/

talking about using osc to pass messages about song structures
