There is no video support in Max for Live unless you own Jitter along with it. Even then, I think in looking at your youtube examples this would be like trying to drive a small nail with a sledgehammer.

If you just need to render a series of video clips and fade between them you can easily do this with the free Microsoft Movie Maker that comes with Windows.

It's like the iMovie (on mac) equivalent on Windows.

I have programmed a video sampler... it can record desktop, webcam, it can save to harddisk, it can mix...
the only limitation i see is, that when you in EDIT mode --when you edit the device -that you will see a "jitter is not autorized" window that stop playing your Outputs...but that is only in edit mode...

Full list of broken things here if you don't actually own Jitter: http://www.cycling74.com/forums/topic.php?id=27207

To call it a full list is what is called sardonic which I understand does not translate well on the internet. The link was meant for the OP to get clarification. Not to educate you. Yes you can use Jitter in maxforlive but my original comment is about the "support" for it. In software company land there is a difference between "works" and "supported".

The original poster is not asking about any of this anyway. Bottom line, Max for Live is not what the OP is really looking for based on his post.

ok ok i misinterpreted that -sry

yep, for simply video editing there are a mass of other pre programmed programmes out there... even the basic windows live movie maker... or other free stuff...

with jitter and much gpu/cpu power you can do video editing too... but for a newbee? not
