I'm making some control devices in M4L to interface my Faderfox to Live.
The Faderfox uses inc/dec CC messages (e.g. 1,2 for +1,+2, 127,126 for -1,-2) on some of its controls. Live understands these fine when mapped to faders etc.
I'd like to use them in M4L. Unfortunately, Live filters out repeated CC messages between the input and the device chain, which makes these messages useless - when turning a dial up, the first message gets through, and the rest are discarded.
I can see the messages coming in in the input select menu (the little yellow lights flash) but nothing comes through on the main channel midi monitor, or the device chain monitors.
Does anyone have a workaround?

+1 I Just ran into this same issue.

Bypass the whole Live filtering MIDI crap by using a MIDI Driver inside a device. Leigh wrote one for Osx: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=149983

Ah, great! I'd been playing with mxj as a way to do that, but it felt a bit ugly (although probably it's no worse than going via Live in the first place).
If there's a nice stable external to do this, I'll give it a go!
(but of course, it would be nice if it got fixed in Live too...)
EDIT: Just tried this, works lovely! Thanks!
