Can anyone make a midi swing knob in m4L?

Kind of like the one in Maschine (hint).
One simple knob for any midi pattern .

NOTE:
Due to latency of M4L devices in a chain the on/offbeat synchronization may not always work as intended.
But I've found that this problem can be solved by inserting a dummy MIDI Thru device in front of the swing device.

Just copy the text and paste it into an open patcher window (the one that comes up when you press the Edit button on a new M4L device).

Also, delete the predefined midiin/midiout objects of the new device, otherwise the notes will be played twice.

As mentioned earlier, the timing of M4L devices in a chain is somewhat tricky.
So at this stage my patch should be considered rather experimental.

this looks cool and i put it into the editor and deleted the midi parts like you said, but now i am having trouble turning this into an actual patch. i have never made one before so i don't know how to get from the editor window to making it an actual M4L device.

After pasting in the editor go to View > Patcher Inspector and tick the box 'Open in Presentation'.

Then choose File > Save As.. and give it some name you like.

nope still isn't working properly can't say that i know what i am doing, but after i saved it did give me an amxd file that i can drop onto a midi track but it just looks like it still in the patcher window in non presentation mode.??

o well ill just stick to maschine. they going to be supporting vst's real soon anyways. since ableton never fixed their issue with incoming midi from the plug in.
