Post by mauro526 » Wed Feb 02, 2011 6:40 pm

Hi. Is there a way to automatize tempo changes with a dummy clip o max device?
the automatization in arrangement view is not useful for live performance and the master track way neihther

I take it you don't have max4live then?

The Live Object Model lists all of the aspects of live that can be controller by M4L and the functions of each element....

Tempo is something that can be controlled very easily, to the point that a simple live.dial on one track could be wired up to the global tempo and then automated by any clip played on that track...

Yes it is, and you don't need Max4Live.

ClyphX is an amazing script for Ableton. Allows you to name your clips in specific ways to control aspects of Live.

For your example you could have dummy clips set up that can increase or decrease your BPM by certain increments. OR could use a dummy clip to set BPM to a specific value.

And that is just one tiny example of what this amazing free script will open up for you.

Enjoy.
