Granulator, moving midi clips freezes Live for 10 seconds...

Post by rutgermuller » Tue Oct 18, 2011 1:40 pm

I was wondering why Live freezes for about 10 seconds when I

- Press Copy (Ctrl-C) on a MIDI clip in a MIDI track with Granulator on it
- Move a MIDI clip in a MIDI track with Granulator on it
- Duplicate a MIDI track with Granulator on it

Happened to me on OS X Snow Leopard and now also on Lion with Live 8.2.2.
I just now notice 8.2.6 is out, going to download it...

this is not a granulator issue but a general maxforlive problem with devices that have lots of parameters. its very annoying, and high on the list of things that need to be improved. it has to do with the way maxforlive parameters are handled inside live. for now i use granulator
more like a modular synth: play with it and record the audio... oh well...

Thanks for responding, that makes things clear, I thought it was my computer causing this. Hope it gets fixed soon :)
