Is there a way to have different User Modes activate different max4live patches? For example, have User 1 send notes to a drum machine and User 2 act as a step sequencer?
Can we do this while still using the rest of Launchpad's native functionality (ie the mixer page and the session clip launching page) ?

Re: Different Functions for User Modes in Launchpad?
Any chance of explaining briefly how you are able to read User1/User2 mode's status when the LP is active as a Control Surface? I was definitely not able to read any incoming midi signals with a Max Midi Effect, at least not CC values or note changes. Is there maybe an object in Max that can be used to read all of the input coming from the LP, not just the Midi?
I've built a patch which does what I want it to do with the Launchpad inside Max, but I just can't seem to figure out how to port it to a max4live patch...

You'll need to read the control surface for user 2 not midi, user 1 is best left alone as it's not designed for use with M4L...
look for the Oktopad Lite device on Max4live.com should give you everything you need to start you off...
