LFO with white noise generator?
Does anyone know of one? All the LFOs I'm finding are missing noise generators from their list of waveforms.
Re: LFO with white noise generator?
most of the M4L API LFO's have a noise gen. often it is called 'random'. all the Live devices have this too.

Re: LFO with white noise generator?
Every time I've come across "random" it's an extremely low-frequency noise more akin to a S&H generator. :/
Re: LFO with white noise generator?
so you want to simply modulate with unfiltered white noise?
Should be easy to mod - simply dig into one of the modulator devices, find where the oscillators are and hook in noise instead

mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.

Re: LFO with white noise generator?
ah word - didn't even think of that! (just started using M4L)
Re: LFO with white noise generator?
update rates max out at about 50Hz, which does not come close to the spectral characteristic of auditory white noise as we know it..... if you want faster modulation you need to build it all into a single m4l device....
