Make parameters survive device update?

Post by jomtones » Wed Apr 10, 2013 4:57 pm

Testing out Live 9 - not sure but this seems to be working different? I swear I used to be able to update a device that's on several tracks and it would still retain the parameters I had set for each device.

I mean - e.g.
  • Set parameter on six track, all containing the same device.

Edit device and click 'apply to all'.

Back in Live, everything stays set as it was on each track.
Now when I edit / save a device all the damn parameters are reset on every track! 'Initial enable' is off FWIW, also the parameters are "automated and stored"..

Damn, just went back to Live 8 and tested this, it's still working as it was. Can anyone else replicate? If this is a new Live 9/ Max 6 feature/bug, it's going to annoy the hell out of me!

Strange, it seems like the devices retain their settings although it doesn't look like they do. If you save the set and reopen it, things are as they should be. Weird... Bit of a drag though with this set now, it takes 3mins just to restart it. :|
