Take a look at the [line~] object.
That seems to be a ramp generator if im reading the documentation correctly. How will that stop the clicks when changing the volume with a slider?
Did you look at the [line~] help file?
Often when working with digital audio what's happening when you hear a click is the amplitude is jumping from one value immediately to another. A ramp generator like [line~] smooths the transition from one value to another. So when using [line~] instead of having an instantaneous transition between values you can set the transition time in milliseconds. Even just a few milliseconds (5–20) size ramp can eliminate clicks. This is the standard method for eliminating clicks when adjusting amplitude.
If you right-click in an unlocked patcher and go to "Paste From" there is a clipping called "amplitude_control" that demonstrates one way to do what I'm talking about.
