Auto FadeIN Out

Post by ansolas » Wed Nov 06, 2013 5:15 pm

Hello,
is there a Max Patch wich fade audio when you send audio to it ?

It would be nice to such kind of Patch sitting on the Master so that when you hit play the audio fade in for a short time, so that you never get hit by hard transients when starting playback.
Fading out on stopping playback gets more tricky :) Maybe we could just play the last 100 ms just backwards to have a fade out ?

Is there something like this available ? If no it might be a nice project to get started with max :)

Cheers

hi

no, I don't think that exists, actually. It does indeed sound like a good project to begin with.

have you done the max AND the msp tutorials? You really should do those, or the majority of them (I think fft knowledge is quite an advanced step, so I'd save those for later) .
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.
