Hello,
i have a device with some knobs for the settings and i'd like to save all knob settings in the live automation.
is it possible to create automation events and apply them to a track (at the current song position)
thank you!

Re: create automation event with m4l
For those who are interested:
I found a workaround. I do not directly create the automation events but i start recording and send a bang to the dials. This causes that live creates a automation event.
Works fine with one little problem (as every workaround has a problem):
I need to send the bang with a delay otherwise live will not recognize the events to be recorded. So the automation events are placed a very short time after the songposition where record was started but thats not too evil.
Thanks anyway.

I found this very intriguing until you mentioned the delay. How much is the automation point delayed?
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.
