Looking for correct java

Post by ivaranz » Fri Nov 07, 2014 1:14 pm

My m4l stopped working. It says I need java se 6 runtime. So my java is too new? I have looked for this old java, but I cannot find it. Please help.

It would seem that Max does not appear to require Java. When do you get this message?

I started up a few of my m4l devices and checked Activity Monitor for any instance of Java. There's nothing. I'd say M4L doesn't need Java by default. Something most likely does. a M4L device can run java code or at least call it externally. Please give us more information on what you're M4L devices you're running when you get this message.

Does this happen when you drop the "Chorus X2.amxd" on a track for instance?

What indicates Max 7 testing here?

OK, but where is java even used? It's not listed among the requirements of Max 6. java doesn't start up when I start Max or add a plugin in Live 9.

Is it specific devices that use java? Which ones?
