Possible to set colors for only certain Push grid buttons?

I currently have a M4L device that will take over the entire Push grid, but I'd like to be able to edit certain buttons while leaving others to Live's session view. The goal is to create a custom interface only for certain tracks that contain a specific device while still using the default Push session interface to fire clips for other tracks.

Make sense? Possible?

i sold my Push a while ago, but i think the function "grab" is exactly made for this. You "grab" a control, so it's out of the native behavior, you do whatever you want, the "release" it. If i remember well.

Yes, absolutely possible. But don't grab the whole grid then; you have to grab the needed buttons only. You'd also probably want to make sure that they're only grabbed when the grid is in Note mode for example.

How do you do that? What's the function call and parameters? I'm only familiar with how to grab the whole grid at once.
