feature request - access to clip envelopes via the LOM

I know this is an evil one-
I wish there was access to clip envelopes via the LOM,
at least to be able to read out envelope split points.(I can't really think of a concept to 'get hold'
of the nice bent envelopes we can create since live 9)

I notice in the Live API there is an AutomationEnvelope class with an insert_step and value_at_time method.

Is it possible to access these from MaxforLive?

I think I did it a couple of years ago using Clyphx but wondered if there is an easier way now?
