There's a physical device called "Note Toucher", which takes an incoming MIDI stream of notes and chords, and allows you to "play" the notes and chords with one or two fingers (notes C and D on a keyboard.)
This allows someone with no keyboard skills but some rhythm to "play" a sequence and not have to worry about fumbling for notes and sounding sloppy.
I'm wondering if there's a maxforlive device (or any plugin for that matter) that enables one to do this.
I know there are some sequencers in maxforlive that allow you to advance each step with a midi note input, which is kind of what I'm looking for, but the ones I've seen are limited to a certain number of notes in the step sequence, and allow only single notes, not chords as well. What I'm looking for is something that would allow one to play a whole song, with chords.

Is there a M4L device that does this? Note Toucher.

I still don't understand what you want? And that website is a mess. Like som ad from 1980.
There is like gazillion of step sequencers and keyboard performers (conductr https://www.conductr.net/features/ablet ... -keyboard/ ) or whatever the hell you can think off, all can be played over midi keyboard and be in Key you desire it to be. If that is what you ask for.
Try here: http://maxforlive.com/
