Audio to Midi. Piezo as trigger

Post by diegux » Wed Jul 04, 2018 8:47 pm

Hi, I am trying to convert a piezo mic input (audio) into midi notes with velocity sensitivity.
How can I achieve this with as minimum latency as possible in order to play it live?

Thanks a lot for your help, best..

Have a look at the arduino IDE example sketch called knock sensor . It will give you a rough idea on how to use the piezo as a trigger. The only diference will be to send Serial information to m4l and then convert it to the wanted midi . But you can also do that directly arduino side with a midi pin header or Midi over usb.

Or you could use the piezo throught your audio interface and use peakamp~ object and similar from max to create triggers
