Hi there!
Now I have found an interesting device
http://www.maxforlive.com/library/devic ... 1638#11931
I have dreamt about a device like this, but that could make a postponed start & stop of the clips
inside real-time performance with midi controllable parameters
that could give an opportunity to make the postponed start and stop
of the clips in real time by choosing a number of bars.
It is Like controllable follow action for clips.
I have heard that octatrack have similar functionality & I think it is a great opportunity both for real-time music production and for djing.
Could you advise please, Is it theoretically possible by m4l platform?
Maybe there is already exist some similar devices?
Thank's in advance for any recommendations!
Have a nice day!

Follow Actions are controllable, they already can do "postponed start and stop of the clips in real time by choosing a number of bars".
You can create "Dummy Clips", Clips without sound or MIDI that only play automation (or trigger Follow Actions).
So you can have a Dummy Clip run for a number of bars, until its Follow Action triggers the Clip with actual data, that has its own Follow Action telling it to stop after a number of bars.
If you mean "Scenes" not Clips then there is this:

This method is great for the postponed start of the clips. So if I'll make a few dymmy clips above my clip with 8 bars, for example,
I'll define a number of bars before starting clip by choosing higher or lower clip in the row.
But ideally, I also wish to define follow action quantity of playing bars until clip stops
and I want to control it after live looping clip (not in advance).
Like this: "Ok it sounds groovy. Let it will play 16 bars"
After that, I'll fly to another track to record the next loop
& define a quantity of it playing bars & so on."
Is there a way to do something similar?
