M4L Essentials vs Creative Extensions Duplicates

I apologize if this is an obvious question or redundant, I tried googling and searching forums/centercode with no success. I own Live 10 Suite and am curious why there are duplicate plugins for Bass, Poli, drum synths and possibly other plugins as I continue exploring my Suite content. Not only that but the plugin skins/feature sets seem to be different too. It makes it a bit confusing as to which ones I should be running. Are they obsolete versions that remain in my library or just straight different? Can somebody elaborate on what exactly the differences are and why there are duplicates?

Thanks!

So here's the deal, take a deep breath:

Since L10 most of the M4L Essentials have been integrated directly into the Core Library (for Suite users):
- Some of them have been updated in terms of functionality, e.g LFO now has 8 destinations available in a single instance. The Drum Synths have different synthesis engines for the most part.
- Some of them have been updated mainly in terms of ergonomics/GUI (e.g Convolution Reverb).
- Some of them haven't been updated to the Core Library and are still only available in the M4L Essentials only (e.g Multi).

And Some of them have now made their way to the Creative Extensions pack. E.g Bass and Poli. These have mainly been updated on a cosmetic/GUI level.

So, yeah that's a bit of a hell.
How I personally deal with this? I use the most recent ones when they have "duplicates". I've tagged them to my "Devices" Category, so even though I usually browse things by using the search function, I can instantly see which one is the latest one as it has a nice little coloured square.

Wow jur,

Thanks for taking the time to explain all that! I do have to admit it seems a bit convoluted but I understand how things can get a bit crazy as projects develop. I take it for the most part that the updated versions are the ones sporting the new GUI that has the bright yellow/grey/blue rather than the classic Max Black/Grey/Light Blue? I'm an ignorant Max user, is there a way I can see device file versions/properties within Live?
