M4L Plugin that ramps Macro values back to default?

Post by orionka » Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:19 am

Hi, I would like to emulate the Pitchbend behaviour of a Hardware keyboard controller.

I'm looking for a M4L device, that ramps Macro values back to a default position after making a temporary change.

The closest device that I found was this:

I want to create a Pitchbend Macro in a MIDI-Effect rack, that I can use, when I have only keys to play.
Any ideas?

I know there is a line-object in M4L which outputs timed ramps.
However I don't see how I can apply this.
The condition for a ramp back to it's default value would be the release of a mouse click on a live dial or a Macro where this dial is mapped to.

Sounds impossible to me.

Is there any M4L-expert out there who knows how to make this work, or how to get a Pitch-Bend emulation in Live, preferably mapped to a Macro Knob?

Here you go, you can use mousestate to monitor mouse up/down status and use the output as a trigger.

Sonic Faction's Tricky Traps has a device that does that (Grid Ninja):

https://sonicfaction.com/products/ablet ... nstruments

It is a paid pack, I recommend it, pretty good stuff.

Don't remember seeing any free device that does the same.

There is another paid device that does that, but only for its own FX.

It works a different too, it doesn't return the value to zero, it turns the FX on if the knob is being moved by the user, off when the user stops tweaking.
